Pokemon Company donates $200K to NAACP, Black Lives Matter

The Pokemon Company has donated a total of $200,000 USD to the NAACP and Black Lives Matter, it today declared in a statement.

“Here at The Pokemon Company International, we believe in friendship, inclusivity, and equity,” it reads. “These are values that anchor the Pokemon brand. There is no place for oppression within our community.

“We stand in solidarity with our Black employees, fans and families who continue to be impacted by systemic racism and sensless violence.”

A total of $100,000 USD has been donated to the NAACP, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, while an additonal $100,000 USD has been donated to Black Lives Matter, with the company pledging that “our committment to you is ongoing, and our support will be as well.”
