PlayStation Store pre-orders of Hitman are being cancelled

Pixel Dynamo has noticed that the option to pre-order Hitman has disappeared from the PlayStation Store. Moreover, those who’ve already pre-ordered the title from the service have had their pre-orders cancelled.

Addressing the situation, publisher Square Enix says not to worry.

According to Square, via an announcement in a Sony forum, the ““configuration of the product” has changed recently, prompting the action.

“As a result we have withdrawn the current pre-order from PlayStation Store and will cancel all existing pre-orders,” Square advised. “If you have pre-ordered the game, you will receive email confirmation when your pre-order has been cancelled. A revised pre-order for Hitman will be available on the store soon.”

Square says this action won’t delay the game. Expect Hitman on Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4 from 11 March.
