Platinum Games’ Astral Chain announced for Nintendo Switch

Astral Chain was today announced for Nintendo Switch in today’s Nintendo Direct.

The high intensity action game looks to feature two-player co-op combat and is in development by none other than Platinum Games. Hideki Kamiya of The Wonderful 101 looks to be overseeing the project, while Takahisa Taura of NieR:Automata is directing.

“As part of a police special forces unit in a multicultural futuristic city, players work together with a special living weapon, the Legion, in a synergetic action system of battle and exploration,” Nintendo said of the game in a press release.
