Pikmin 4 announced, coming in 2023

And it's been a long time coming.

Pikmin 4 was officially announced by Nintendo and is planned for a 2023 release.

Details of the sequel were scarce, even by Nintendo’s own admission.

“The first sneak peek at the next game in the Pikmin franchise revealed a tranquil park and a napping Bulborb, but it was still missing one important element … Pikmin,” the company said in a press release.

“Where could they be? More details about this new title for Nintendo Switch will be revealed ahead of its 2023 launch.”

Back in 2015, Nintendo’s Shigeru Miyamoto told Eurogamer that Pikmin 4 was not only in development, but “very close to completion”. Eight years later, that’s now more accurate than ever. We’ll keep you informed as we learn more.
