Pikmin 3 Switch release planned for late October

Pikmin 3 Switch release called Pikmin 3 Deluxe will head to the console on 30 October, Nintendo has revealed overnight.

The re-release of the title, first on Wii U back in 2013, will include co-op for the entire story mode alongside new side-missions that can also be played in co-op. Moreover, all DLC Mission mode stages will be included in the new Switch release.

Way back in 2013, we called Pikmin 3 “a reason to own a Wii U,” and while that mightn’t directly apply to a Nintendo Switch, we still figure that’s pretty good. Whether or not it’s enough to sate the hunger of Switch fans wanting new first-party games through is an entirely different question.

Expect Pikmin 3 Deluxe on Nintendo Switch from 30 October.
