Peacemaker Season 2 explores a strange new universe in August

Prepare yourselves.

Peacemaker Season 2 will explore “an alternate world” and connect back to James Gunn’s larger DC Universe starting 22 August.

“In season 2, Peacemaker discovers an alternate world where life is everything he wishes it could be,” reads a press release from HBO Max, where the show streams.

“But this discovery also forces him to face his traumatic past and take the future into his own hands.”

James Gunn has written all of Peacemaker Season 2’s eight episode, and has directed three, including the season’s debut.

It stars John Cena as Peacemaker, alongside Danielle Brooks, Jennifer Holland, Freddie Stroma, Steve Agee, Frank Grillo, Tim Meadows, and Sol Rodriguez.

Season 1 of Peacemaker is currently streaming on HBO Max here in Australia, while Season 2 begins 22 August.
