Paramount+ UK release coming 22 June

Rejoice, sci-fi fans!

The Paramount+ UK release has been set for 22 June, much to the delight of sci-fi fans who want their regular dose of Star Trek.

Paramount took to an earnings call (as reported by Variety) with the news.

Those in the UK and Ireland will be able to subscribe to Paramount+ from 22 June, followed by South Korea sometime in June. Other regions including Austria, France, Germany, Italy and Switzerland will receive the service later in 2022, followed by India in 2023.

UK customers will be able to subscribe for £7 per month or £70 per year; those with Sky Cinema subscriptions will receive access to Paramount+ at no extra charge.

That date — 22 June — is a big one in the UK; the new, tiered PlayStation Plus system will also become available at the same time.

Paramount+ is where subscribers in the UK will finally be able to catch up on Star Trek shows including Star Trek Discovery and the upcoming Star Trek Strange New Worlds. Other sci-fi hits include the likes of Halo.
