Paramount+ app now available on Xbox

Xbox One and Xbox Series owners -- in select markets -- finally get access.

A Paramount+ app is now available on Xbox consoles including the Xbox One, the Xbox Series S and the Xbox Series X, Paramount has today confirmed.

The app is available in the following countries: Australia, Austria, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Latin America (including Brazil), Switzerland, and the United Kingdom.

“Our goal is to make Paramount+’s popular content, characters and franchises available to an expanded audience,” said Senior Vice President of International Streaming Distribution and Business Development at Paramount, Angela Heckman.

“This partnership with Microsoft is another testament of our commitment to scale innovative global partnerships to maximise reach,” Heckman continued.

Here in Australia, Paramount Plus will currently set you back $9.99 AUD/month or $89.99 AUD/year for a standard subscription.

From 16 November, though, things change —Australia is one country that gains access to a Premium tier, which provides for 4K UHD, HDR10 streaming alongside Dolby Vision. Users will also be able to watch four concurrent streams (as compared to two right now in Standard).

From that point on, users can opt for the Premium tier at $13.99 AUD/month, or $124.99 AUD/year.
