Paper Mario Thousand Year Door release date set for May

Mark those calendars!

The Paper Mario The Thousand-Year Door release date has been set for 23 May, Nintendo has today declared.

This new version of the title will be available on Switch, and is based upon the original GameCube classic. Announced back in September of last year, this iteration of Thousand-Year Door will feature “updated graphics”.

“Turn the page and join Mario and friends in an RPG adventure to discover the legendary treasure behind the ancient Thousand-Year Door,” Nintendo said at the time. “Will Mario complete his papery quest, or will he crumple under the pressure?”

If you missed out on September’s news, you can watch the title’s reveal trailer above.

Alongside the news, we also received a June release date for Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD.

We’ll have more on this new version of Paper Mario The Thousand-Year Door as it becomes available. The title itself heads to Nintendo Switch on 23 May.
