Pac-Man Maker trademarked by Bandai Namco in Europe

A trademark for Pac-Man Maker has been recently filed by Bandai Namco, it was discovered.

The trademark application has been filed with the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO). It can be read here.

Bandai Namco is keeping quiet about the trademark, but it’s likely that a game similar to Nintendo’s Super Mario Maker is being planned. In Nintendo’s version of the game, users can craft levels using assets from different eras of the iconic brand. It’s relatively easy to imagine the same scenario using Pac-Man and friends.
