Overwatch’s Genji joins Heroes of the Storm later in April

Overwatch‘s Genji will be playable in Heroes of the Storm as part of the latter game’s 2.0 beta.

Genji will be released alongside an Overwatch-themed map, Hanamura. That map includes new mercenaries, objectives and, you guessed it, “explosive payloads”.

The hero can attack with shruikens and a dashing swift strike, and can also deflect enemy projectiles back at those who launched them. His ultimate, Dragonblade, mirrors that of Overwatch as well. The character’s new ability, X-Strike, deals two slashes at 135 damage. The slashes will then detonate, causing 270 damage to those caught in the blast.

Overwatch heroes Tracer, Lucio and Zarya are already present inside Heroes of the Storm. Genji goes live on 25 April.
