Overwatch: Terry Crews wants to be Doomfist, the game’s (potential) new hero

Actor Terry Crews has ramped up a campaign to become the voice of Overwatch‘s potential new hero, Doomfist.

Fans have embraced the suggestion, sparked by Crews himself on Twitter.

The character of Doomfist has been around Overwatch lore for quite a while, with the game’s Numbani map showing off three generations of the hero.

Lore tells us that Doomfist was part of the Overwatch team initially, before his successor joined the evil Onmics. It’s likely Crews — if he gets the job, that is — will voice the third generation, dubbed “The Successor”.

Also, as a fun fact, the Doomfist gauntlet shown above doubles as the payload on the Numbani map.

Fans on Reddit are very positive in terms of Crew voicing the character.

We’ll keep you posted as this develops.

Overwatch is available now on Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4.
