Overwatch Summer Games 2021 event starts this week

Are you excited?

The Overwatch Summer Games 2021 event will kick off tomorrow, 21 July, here in Australia.

Coinciding with the Tokyo Summer Olympics — ’cause you know, it’s summer in half the world — this iteration of the yearly event will offer up new rewards including a Sprinkles Mei Legendary skin.

Activision Blizzard has also confirmed a Poolside Ashe Legendary skin and a Mermaid Symettra skin as well.

The event centres around LucioBall, a football game but not that’s a serious amount of fun. If you think in terms that you’re playing a Rocket League or similar, you’ll do quite well.

You’ll have until 21 August to take part in the event.

Overwatch is currently available on Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, PS4, PS5 and Switch. The Tokyo Olympics kicks off this Friday, 23 July.
