Overwatch: Sombra officially confirmed alongside new maps and features

Blizzard today confirmed that long-rumoured hero Sombra will soon be available in Overwatch.

Sombra is described by Blizzard as an “offensive hero who specialises in hit-and-run tactics.” Her Thermoptic Camo ability allows for stealth, while her Translocator ability will teleport her around maps. She can also Hack a target to nerf its damage and deny the opposition health packs. Finally, her EMP can disable shields and shut down opponent’s powers.

In addition to Sombra, Overwatch will soon receive two new maps — Oasis and Ecopoint: Antarctica — as well as a new feature, Overwatch Arcade. The new feature will let players “choose from a variety of regularly rotating alternate game modes, including 1-on-1 duels, 3-vs.-3 skirmishes, and special rulesets like ‘no hero switching’ — and earn rewards like bonus experience and loot,” Blizzard confirmed.

We’ll let you know when Sombra becomes available on Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4.
