Overwatch: Roadhog’s hook and chain are finally getting nerfed

Blizzard has taken to Overwatch‘s forums to detail changes coming to Roadhog.

Most importantly, the character’s chain special will pull people towards him based on where they’re positioned, not just simply in a straight line towards him.

“There is a cap on how far ‘to the side’ you can be pulled, so you can’t just hook someone, spin 180, and dump someone off a cliff,” Blizzard’s Geoff Goodman explained.

Moreover, Roadhog must maintain line-of-sight with an enemy at all times to use the chain special.

“There is a new persistent line-of-sight check back to Roadhog once the hook has landed. If this check fails, the hook breaks off and returns to Roadhog,” Goodman said.

If that line-of-sight isn’t maintained, the chain will simply break.

Overwatch is available now on Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4.
