Overwatch patch adds 4K to Xbox One X, nerfs Mercy

A new Overwatch patch has enabled 4K support on Xbox One X. The patch also brings big changes to both Mercy and Junkrat.

As reported earlier, the patch stops Mercy’s ultimate, Valkyrie, from gaining a bonus Resurrect charge, and also changes Resurrect so it’s not an instant cast. Moreover, Valkyrie lasts 15 seconds, down from 20. Finally, Mercy’s Guardian Angel ability has been decreased by 50%.

Aussie Junkrat has had his Concussion Mine altered to damage is reduced as you travel away from its explosion centre.

In addition to 4K support on Xbox One X and these hero changes, a single bug fix has been included alongside pre-order bonuses for those who’ve pre-purchased World of Warcraft‘s “Battle for Azeroth” expansion.

Full patch notes are as follows:

  • Mercy (Valkyrie): No longer makes Resurrect instant
  • Mercy (Valkyrie): No longer grants a bonus Resurrect charge
