Overwatch: Leaving early in competitive mode comes with a heavy price

Those in Overwatch‘s competitive mode beta have shared details of quitting penalties that players will suffer.

Those “repeatedly leaving games will result in a 75% penalty to XP earned,” a screenshot from the beta reads. This is the same XP ban applied in Quick Play modes, though it’s unclear if the competitive have a longer duration.

Moreover, “you can be suspended from competitive play for increasing periods of time, up to receiving a ban for the entire season.”

Competitive mode is expected this month, inside Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4 versions of Overwatch.
