Overwatch goes free-to-play over this weekend

Overwatch will once again off a free-to-play weekend this coming weekend, 24-28 August.

This latest free-to-play weekend coincides with the game’s Summer Games event and the popular Lucioball mode (think Rocket League with Lucio — boop!). All maps, characters and features — including this limited time event — will be playable.

As with other free-to-play offerings, Overwatch progress made in this trial will carry over into the main game should a player decide to purchase.

The free period runs from Friday, 24 August through until Tuesday, 28 August in AEST.

Overwatch is currently available on Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4 — the trial is available on all platforms.
