Overwatch goes free-to-play on PS4, Xbox One this weekend

Blizzard today announced that Overwatch will go free-to-play this coming weekend on both Xbox One and PS4.

From 4.00 am AEST on 10 September, all characters, maps and modes will be available for free on both platforms. PlayStation Plus isn’t needed for the event on PS4, but Xbox Live Gold is on Xbox One.

The event finishes at 9.00 am AEST on 13 September.

To play the game, you’ll need to search for and download “Overwatch Free Weekend” in the PlayStation Store, and “Overwatch: Origins Edition Free Weekend” on the Xbox Store.
