Overwatch: Blizzard keeping an eye on PS4, Xbox One cross-platform play

Blizzard has said it kill “keep and eye on cross-platform possibilities” so that gamers on Xbox One and PS4 can play Overwatch against one another.

Blizzard said Windows PC players wouldn’t be included in the cross-platform play due to differences between keyboard & mouse and controller play.

That difference is also the same reason why Blizzard will be balancing the Windows PC version of Overwatch separately from console versions.

Just because Blizzard’s keen to try it doesn’t mean it will become a reality — Sony’s seemingly blocked an attempt by Psyonix to make Rocket League cross-platform between the world’s two biggest consoles.

Overwatch is available now on Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4.
