Overwatch Anniversary 2018 event starts next week, adds map

Overwatch Anniversary 2018 was today confirmed by developer Blizzard.

The event, a celebration of Overwatch itself, returns with “past brawls and cosmetics” in addition to newly designed content.

The event will run between 22 May and 1 June and coincides with a free weekend that takes place on Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4 between 25-28 May.

Blizzard has also confirmed the event will add 50 new cosmetic items — including eight new Legendary skins and three Epic skins — and a new deathmatch map called Petra.

Anyone who logs in during the event will receive one Legendary Anniversary Loot Box for free.

Overwatch is currently available on Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4.
