Overwatch: A 26th hero is playable, but don’t expect it soon

Blizzard’s Jeff Kaplan has confirmed a 26th hero is playable in Overwatch. He’s also confirmed the hero won’t be released in the near future.

The character, referred to as Hero 26, was detailed during IGN’s Expert Mode show.

“Hero 26 is very playable and very fun internally, and that’s all I’ll say. It’s not coming out as soon as you think […] but Hero 26 is already amazing,” Kaplan said,

“I don’t think there’s such a thing as too many heroes, but I think we also need to come out with heroes at a good pace.”

We’ll have more on the new character as it’s made available.

Overwatch is currently available on Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4. Its latest hero is the villainous Doomfist.
