The old Top Spin team is working on Tennis World Tour

The old Top Spin team is hard at work on Tennis World Tour, Bigben and Breakpoint today announced.

Bigben used a press release to describe developer Breakpoint as populated by “an experienced team who previously worked on the Top Spin license.”

“For years we’ve wanted to create a new tennis game, a spiritual successor to Top Spin 4,” said Breakpoint’s Pierre André. “Improvements in technology and gameplay now mean that we can create the ultra-realistic simulation that we’ve always dreamed of.”

“Our aim is to give all tennis fans a game that is finally worthy of their enthusiasm,” added Benoît Clerc of Bigben. “The level of quality, wealth of content and game mechanics planned for Tennis World Tour will ensure that it will be one of the best sport simulations available.”

Tennis World Tour will feature more than 30 playable tennis stars including Roger Federer, Gaël Monfils, Angelique Kerber and Garbiñe Muguruza.

Tennis World Tour is expected in 2018, and more will be revealed at this year’s Gamescom.
