Oculus explains Oculus Rift shipping delays

Oculus has made a statement to TechCrunch explaining shipping delays for the popular Oculus Rift virtual reality headset.

“We’ve taken steps to address the component shortage, and we’ll continue shipping in higher volumes each week,” Oculus said.

“We’ve also increased our manufacturing capacity to allow us to deliver in higher quantities, faster. Many Rifts will ship less than four weeks from original estimates, and we hope to beat the new estimates we’ve provided.”

Those who’ve pre-ordered the VR headset have largely been left in the dark in terms of when they’ll actually receive their Rift.

We’ll keep you posted.
