No Man’s Sky multiplayer shown off in new video

No Man’s Sky multiplayer was debuted in a new trailer from Hello Games.

Multiplayer will be part of the game’s NEXT update on PC and PS4, and part of the game’s debut on Xbox One, all taking place next week.

In multiplayer, players will be able to “team up with a small group of friends” to explore. Teams can build shelters, fight in space battles and race exocraft around worlds.

The NEXT update will also let players play in third- or first-person, either on foot on in-ship. Base building has also been expanded so that shelters can be built anywhere on a planet. New base parts also mean more variety in construction.

No Man’s Sky NEXT heads to Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4 from 24 July in North America and 27 July in Europe and Australia.
