Nioh 3 announced, demo available later today

Nioh 3 was today announced at the PlayStation State of Play, with Team Ninja also confirming a demo for the title will be made available today.

“Experience the rise of a heroic Shogun in Nioh 3, the latest entry in the dark samurai action RPG series,” reads a description attached to the title’s reveal trailer, which is below.

“Fight using two distinct combat styles — Samurai and Ninja — as you battle against formidable yokai in an intense open field setting.”

“Koei Tecmo and Team Ninja invite all players to try out these new Samurai and Ninja gameplay styles in the Nioh 3 Alpha Demo, available exclusively on PlayStation 5 until 18th June 2025,” reads an update from a press release. “This free demo provides an early look at the game, including an in-progress character creation system. Upon finishing the demo, players are prompted to provide feedback, including thoughts on the new battle styles and open field exploration. A survey will be provided on the game’s official website in order to help facilitate feedback upon completion.

“Players who clear the demo will receive a special helmet for use in Nioh 3’s full game upon release.”

You can download the Nioh 3 demo here.

You can expect Nioh 3 on Windows PC and PS5 sometime in 2026.
