The Nintendo Switch will not use friend codes

Speaking with CNET, Nintendo’s Reggie Fils-Aime has said that friend codes are a thing of the past, at least on the Nintendo Switch.

“There are no friend codes in what we’re doing,” Fils-Aime confirmed, though it’s not yet clear how gamers will find and gather with their friends.

We’ll keep you posted as more is revealed.

The Nintendo Switch heads to stores on 3 March. It retails for $469.95 AUD.
