Nintendo Switch: Licensed microSD cards will sell for three times the normal price

Forbes today reports that Nintendo Switch licensed microSD cards, made by Hori, are selling at three times the price compared to unlicensed cards.

The site says that Hori’s 32GB card,  sold for ¥7,900 ($70 USD), is astronomically high when compared to other cards. It points to a “high end” Sandisk 32GB card for ¥2,690 ($23 USD).

The Switch supports microSDXC cards up to 2TB in size. We’ve found 256GB cards listed between $90-220 AUD here in the country.

We’ve two takes on the Switch: here and here.
