Nintendo Switch activity logs reset on its one-year anniversary

Nintendo has inadvertently celebrated the first anniversary of the Switch by resetting activity feed data.

Nintendo of America took to Twitter over the weekend to confirm the issue.

“Some Nintendo Switch owners’ play activity information is displaying incorrectly,” the tweet reads. “We are aware of the issue and we expect to have more information to share in the near future.”

No further updates have been provided at the time of writing.

While it’s unfortunate that you’ll not be able to see how many hours you’ve put into the likes of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, this issue might force Nintendo to provide a proper activity log to its users. At present, you can get the best possible data logs from the Switch by turning on parental controls.

Additionally, it’s likely the play information is still sitting on a Nintendo server somewhere and that an update will be able to bring that data back to users.

Are you worried you’ve lost your activity log? Do you rely on the log to provide insights on your gameplay?
