Nintendo, Mercedes Benz team up for Mario Kart 8 DLC, weird commercials

And here we thought Nintendo couldn’t top the weirdness that was Reggie-bot.

In a collaboration with Mercedes Benz, Japanese gamers will be treated to a (assumed) free in-game Mercedes DLC kart inside Mario Kart 8.

Moreover, the commercial promoting the game and its commercialised DLC is uniquely Japanese.

There’s no word as yet as to whether or not western audiences will receive the Mercedes DLC.

Mario Kart 8 is a Wii U exclusive launching tomorrow, 31 May.
