Nintendo hiring new Legend of Zelda level designer

Nintendo is looking to hire a new level designer for The Legend of Zelda, leading many to believe work on a sequel is underway.

The listing, posted on Nintendo’s Japanese website, looks for a professional who would be tasked with “Game event / dungeon / field planning, specification creation and adjustment, a series of tasks up to implementation.” The potential employee would work from Nintendo’s Kyoto office.

Nintendo has yet to confirm the next entry in the Legend of Zelda franchise, but it’s likely at least pre-production is underway. While we wait for official confirmation, what would you like to see — a sequel to Breath of the Wild or something altogether different?

We’ll keep you informed as we learn more.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is available now on Nintendo Switch.
