My Nintendo Gold Points can be used to buy Switch games

The My Nintendo program has been updated to allow users to cash in their My Nintendo Gold Points for Nintendo Switch games.

Under the current model, 100 My Nintendo Gold Points are equal to $1 AUD. Or $1 USD, or basically the equivalent of whatever $1 is in available regions. Simple, eh?

My Nintendo users will accrue My Nintendo Gold Points at a rate of 5% per dollar for digital purchases, and 1% per dollar for physical purchases. The Points earned from physical purchases will be based on the cost set by the digital version of the title, so if you manage to get it for a great deal, you may end up with more points than you originally thought.

The new My Nintendo program is available now.
