Nintendo fixes your broken Skyward Sword save in a roundabout way

Well, we’ve got to admit that it’s a lot more work than if the game was on, say, PS3 or Xbox 360, but those affected by the game-crippling Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword bug can now fix their game save without having to start the title over again. The way to do it? A patch. Kinda.

Those who need to repair (or, really, patch) a game save need to download an entirely new Wii Channel — the “Zelda Data Restoration Channel.” According to Nintendo Japan, the channel can be downloaded from the Wii Shopping Channel, through the Wii Channel section.

At least there’s a fix, though we honestly would have preferred an Xbox-like “there is an update available” prompt when starting the game. What about you?
