New Nintendo Direct is livestreaming overnight

Are you setting an alarm?

A new Nintendo Direct will livestream overnight, Nintendo has recently confirmed. Here in Australia, expect the event from 1.00 am AEDT overnight, 22 February 2024.

Lasting 25 minutes, the livestream is focussed on third-party titles and not those specifically from Nintendo itself. In a press release, Nintendo confirmed we should expect information on “Nintendo Switch games coming in the first half of 2024 from our publishing and development partners.”

If you’re not in the AEDT timezone, you can check what time the event starts in your own timezone by clicking here.

The livestream will take place over on YouTube; there’s no video to embed at the time of writing, but we’ll update this post when that changes.

While titles featured as part of the event haven’t been detailed, there are a host of third-party titles heading to Switch throughout the first half of this year. They include the likes of Open Roads, Braid, Tales of Kenzera Zau, South Park Snow Day, Inkulinati, and many more. What do you hope to see featured?

We’re too old to stay up that late to watch a livestream, but we’ll have you covered with any newsworthy items tomorrow morning.
