Nicolas Cage is Dead by Daylight’s next survivor

You've read that right.

None other than Nicolas Cage is Dead by Daylight‘s next survivor.

No, really.

The famous actor helped break the news on developer Behaviour Interactive’s Twitter account, saying, “there is nothing more powerful than imagination. It can shape the fabric of reality, transforming everything you may think you know.”

“After countless awards and over one hundred movies shot across the globe, Nicolas Cage had seen it all and done it all — or so he thought,” reads a press release from Behaviour.

“While on set filming the role of a lifetime, his performance summoned The Entity, a malevolent being of incomprehensible power. The actor soon found himself cast in otherworldly Fog, forced to Survive a host of terrifying Killers deadlier than even the most scathing film critic.”

More on Cage’s inclusion into the asymmetrical horror title will be revealed on 5 July.

Dead by Daylight is currently available on Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, PS4, PS5 and Switch.

Update: We got a better look at Nic during today’s Summer Game Fest. The new teaser trailer is below.
