NHL 21 reveal coming early next week

NHL 21 reveal is planned for early next week, EA Vancouver and the NHL have confirmed.

The news comes after the admission that NHL 21 would come later in the year than usual and, worse yet, that the annual sports game would not be released to Xbox Series X or PS5.

The reveal will take place on the NHL’s YouTube channel and is timed for 1.00 am AEST on Tuesday, 25 August here in Australia. If you can’t be bothered staying up for a trailer, we’ll have all the news for you in time for your early morning coffee on Tuesday morning proper.

Without any next-gen improvements, it’s really unclear what we’re to expect from this reveal. EA Vancouver has said it dropped next-gen dev plans to “focus on adding innovation and new features,” so frankly, we’re setting our expectations rather high.

NHL 21 heads to Xbox One and PS4 on 16 October.
