NHL 21 release date set for 16 October

The NHL 21 release date has been set for 16 October, EA confirmed overnight.

Available on both Xbox One and PS4, NHL 21 will not head to next-gen consoles PS5 or Xbox Series X. While the game will be playable on next-gen, it’ll be via backwards compatibility.

As per usual, those who shell out more cash for the game’s Deluxe or Ultimate Edition will gain three-days of early access to the title alongside other items like HUT and World of CHEL packs. It’s unclear as yet if a beta will be offered as in previous years.

Usually expected in September, EA confirmed only yesterday that NHL 21 would be delayed into October, citing the coronavirus pandemic as the culprit.

NHL 21 heads to Xbox One and PS4 on 16 OCtober.
