NHL 17: The top 50 ranked in-game players have been named

EA Vancouver recently shared the 50 top ranked players inside NHL 17.

Here’s the top 10 from that list. No real surprises in it, we think.

  1. Sidney Crosby (Canadian, plays for the Pittsburgh Penguins)
  2. Jamie Benn (Canadian, plays for the Dallas Stars)
  3. Patrick Kane (American, plays for the Chicago Blackhawks)
  4. Drew Doughty (Canadian, plays for the Los Angeles Kings)
  5. Alex Ovechkin (Russian, plays for the Washington Capitals)
  6. Jonathan Toews (Canadian, plays for the Chicago Blackhawks)
  7. Shea Weber (Canadian, plays for the Montreal Canadiens)
  8. Steven Stamkos (Canadian, plays for the Tampa Bay Lightning)
  9. Carey Price (Canadian, plays for the Montreal Canadiens)
  10. Anze Kopitar (Slovenian, plays for the Los Angeles Kings)

You can see the full top 50 here.

NHL 17 heads to Xbox One and PS4 in September. We’ve got a bunch of content from Gamescom coming in the next few weeks.

Steve's the owner and Editor-in-Chief of Stevivor.com, the country’s leading independent video games outlet. Steve arrived in Australia back in 2001 on what was meant to be a three-month working holiday before deciding to emigrate and, eventually, becoming a citizen.

Stevivor is a combination of ‘Steve’ and ‘Survivor’, which made more sense back in 2001 when Jeff Probst was up in Queensland. The site started as Steve’s travel blog before transitioning over into video games.

Aside from video games, Steve has interests in hockey and Star Trek, playing the former and helping to cover video games about the latter on TrekMovie.com. By day, Steve works as the communications manager of the peak body representing Victorians as they age.
