NHL 16 won’t have a demo, instead focusing on its EASHL beta

EA Canada today confirmed that there won’t be a demo for NHL 16.

Instead, the developer is focusing on the EA Sports Hockey League (EASHL) beta that’s starting today.

“We prioritized a Beta over a Demo because we wanted our fans to go deep with the mode and give us early feedback so we can continue to refine and improve the experience,” EA’s Sean Ramjagsingh said, responding to a question from the community.

The EASHL beta is open to people who own NHL 15 and those with EA Access. It runs until 6 August.

NHL 15 was harshly criticised for not including modes like EASHL in its current-gen debut.
