Newfound Courage gets free holiday DLC this week

Newfound Courage will offer free, holiday-themed DLC this week, developer Curtis Campion has confirmed with Stevivor.

The DLC is titled Winter’s Fair and will features the titular event, taking place during the holiday season. The narrative-focused content will “feauture a combination of fresh new puzzles and challenges, along with some additional scenes with the townsfolk players have grown to love,” Campion confirmed.

The content offers new art, characters and an extended soundtrack by award-winning composer Jessica Kelly.

“I haven’t spent Christmas with my family (other than my sisters) as an out gay person,” Campion told Stevivor in regards to the DLC’s creation. “Growing up, it was my absolute favourite time of year. Losing that was hard, but I found a chosen family that loved me for who I am.

“By creating Winter’s Fair, I want to help people who might feel alone during the holiday season for the same reasons I used to, and to send the message that if you have no one else, we’ll be your chosen family.”

Newfound Courage is available now for Windows PC and Mac via Steam. Expect the free Winter’s Fair DLC this Friday, 13 December.
