New Veronica Mars series coming to Hulu in 2019

Veronica Mars will return to TV screens thanks to a new series to air on Hulu in 2019.

Veronica herself, Kristen Bell, took to Twitter to confirm the show’s return.

“BREAKING NEWS out of Mars Investigations! A new Veronica Mars series is comin atcha via Hulu,” Bell wrote.

“Thank you to all the marshmallows for staying excited and to Hulu for giving Veronica a chance to wear her big girl pants. I hope we’re still friends after I taser you.”

Veronica Mars ran for three seasons before its cancellation. A follow-up movie was released in 2014 after a crowdfunding campaign that was embraced by fans.

Variety reports that Veronica Mars creator Rob Thomas will produce and write the fourth season’s first episode. Expect Veronica Mars to air in 2019; eight episodes have been ordered.

As Australians don’t have access to Hulu, we’ll keep you informed as to how we can access the program (legally, that is).
