New teaser suggests Battlefield 5 is set in WWII

A blink-and-you’ll-miss-it trailer seems to suggest that Battlefield 5 will be set in World War II.

The video, twelve seconds long, sports the UK’s Union Jack and Germany’s Balkenkreuz symbols in the HUD. You might even have to pause the video to see ’em.

The symbols fall in line with rumours that suggest Battlefield 5 will take place in World War II. While nothing’s been confirmed as yet, we’re only hours away from EA’s proper reveal, as hosted by The Daily Show‘s Trevor Noah.

Stevivor is in London, on hand to be briefed on Battlefield 5. We’ll report back as information is made available.

Battlefield 5 is likely planned for release on Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4.
