New Silent Hill, Project Zero movies coming from Christophe Gans

Christophe Gans has recently confirmed he’s working on another Silent Hill movie as well as one that adapts the popular Project Zero (or Fatal Frame) franchise.

I have two horror film projects with Victor Hadida,” Gans told French publication Allocine, via translation. I am working on the adaptation of the video game Project Zero. The film will take place in Japan. I especially don’t want to uproot the game from its Japanese haunted house setting.”

Gans also confirmed he’s working on a new Silent Hill film.

“The project will always be anchored in this atmosphere of a small American town, ravaged by Puritanism,” he said. “I think it’s time to make a new one.”

This will be the third feature film from the popular survival horror franchise; Gans directed the first in 2006. Silent Hill: Revelation followed in 2012, directed by Michael J. Bassett.

We’ll have more on both projects as they’re made available.
