New Pokemon Legends Z-A trailer shows off Lumiose City, Z-A Royale

Action-packed.

Nintendo today shared a new Pokemon Legends Z-A trailer at its Nintendo Direct, and this one focused on a tournament called the Z-A Royale.

“Welcome to Lumiose City, where skilled Trainers participate in the Z-A Royale, a tournament where you’ll rank up via unique new Pokémon battles that happen in real time and can feature Mega Evolutions,” Nintendo said in a statement accompanying the trailer.

Lumiose City has a very Parisian vibe to it, as you’ll be able to see above. It’ll also feature Battle Zones at night, after the sun goes down.

As for the Z-A Royale, it appears to be a tournament that will let a player rank up with success. You’ll begin at Rank Z and work your way all the way to Rank A.

At any rate, take a look at what to expect above.

Pokemon Legends Z-A is currently planned for a 2025 release on the Nintendo Switch. We’ll report back as more of the title becomes available.
