New Paranormal Activity game in development at DarkStone Digital

DreadXP will publish.

A new Paranormal Activity video game is in the works, developed by DarkStone Digital and to be published by DreadXP.

“Known for hit titles such as The Mortuary AssistantMy Friendly Neighborhood, and the Dread X Collection series, DreadXP’s Paranormal Activity pairs the video game publisher’s expertise in crafting unique, unforgettable terrors with one of the biggest horror properties in the world,” the publisher said in a press release.

“[The] Paranormal Activity video game will bring the franchise’s groundbreaking found-footage style to horror enthusiasts in surprising new ways, immersing them in a story that expands upon the lore and world of the films,” DreadXP continued. “The game will feature an advanced ‘Haunt System,’ which will dynamically alter the types and intensity of scares players will encounter based on their actions.”

The franchise has previously existed in video game form thanks to Paranormal Activity VR The Lost Soul on VR platforms including PSVR and Oculus.

Players have a long way to wait for this new iteration — Paranormal Activity is expected in 2026. We’ll report back as we learn more.
