New Metroid Prime 4 gameplay trailer shows off Samus’ new psychic abilities

Check 'em out.

Nintendo today debuted a new Metroid Prime 4 gameplay trailer at its latest Nintendo Direct, this one focused on Samus’ new psychic abilities.

The trailer, set on the planet Viewros, shows off a lush jungle environment. While also showcasing familiar gunplay and traversal those who’ve played Metroid Prime expect, those new abilities take centre stage.

With them, Samus appears to gain telekinesis, letting her move items with her mind. She can also control arm cannon projectiles.

The trailer concludes with a new look for Samus, but we’ll let you check that out for yourself.

Nintendo didn’t date Metroid Prime 4 Beyond in today’s trailer, sadly, but the title is expected for release on Nintendo Switch sometime in 2025.
