New, free content heading to Splatoon next week

Nintendo Australia today advised of free content heading to Splatoon next week.

From 6 August, two new matchmaking modes, new weapons, an increase to the game’s level cap — from level 20 to level 50 (!!) — and more than 40 pieces of new gear will be offered up to users.

The new update also introduces Squad Battle and Private Battle matchmaking options.
