A new era of Assassin’s Creed will be shown off at E3 2017

A new Assassin’s Creed will be released sometime between 1 April 2017 and 31 March 2018, Ubisoft has confirmed.

The news comes alongside new art that suggests we’ll learn more of the title at E3 2017.

One image emailed today, above, says fans should “stay tuned for more at this year’s E3”, while another, below, simply states, “a new era begins.”

Ubisoft today detailed its E3 2017 press conference, taking place at 6.00am AEST on 13 June.

Nothing else of the “new era” of Assassin’s Creed is known, but rumours suggest the title is called either Empire or Origins, and will take place in Egypt.

We’ll have more on the new Assassin’s Creed as it is made available.
