New Discord noise suppression feature in beta

A new Discord noise suppression filter has been added into the popular chat and text client and is designed to eliminated random background noises from voice chats.

“Today we’re rolling out a new noise suppression feature early in beta in partnership with Krisp.ai,” the Discord blog declared.

“This new tech detects and removes background noises happening around you so your voice can be heard clearly. Have a vacuum running in the background; slam a door; ruffle a bag of chips; keep using your really loud keyboard your friends complain about. They won’t be able to hear it.”

The feature comes as Discord reports usage in Italy has increased three times its normal numbers. Twice as many people in Spain and France are using the client as opposed to before the COVID-19 coronavirus crisis.

Are you using Discord to keep in touch with friends and family during this time?
