New Deus Ex game in the works at Eidos Montreal: report

Have patience, fans of Adam Jensen.

A new Deus Ex game is reportedly in development at Eidos Montreal, a newly acquired studio of Embracer Group.

Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier took to Twitter with the report, following news that Embracer had shut down Square Enix Montreal (newly renamed Onoma) and was shuffling staff around other studios.

“Eidos Montreal, which remains intact, canceled the Stranger Things-inspired ‘kids on bikes’ game that was rumored recently,” Schreier wrote. “They’re now working on: 1) A new IP (recently rescoped) 2) A new Deus Ex (very very early) 3) co-dev partnerships with Xbox including Fable.”

We per news of Onoma, we already knew that some Embracer staff had been tasked to assist Playground Games in the development of the new Fable.

Elias Toufexis, the voice of Adam Jensen in recent interations, retweeted Schreier’s report, adding, “I’m glad they are (seemingly?) working on a new [Deus Ex]. Please stop asking me because I don’t know anything about it or if Adam Jensen is even going to be a part of it.”

We’ll keep you posted as we learn more.
